Ten years ago we released the beautiful Immortal Souls winter metal album “IV: The Requiem for the Art of Death.”          

“Lone / Grey” was recorded at Glow in the Dark Studios (My Epic, Underoath, The Chariot), and marries Comrades’ love for ambient moments with heavy post-hardcore. The intentional lyricism and melody for which the band are well known are accompanied by a fierce delivery.

Before there was a metalcore genre, Overcome were one of the pioneering bands to blend metal and hardcore in what would eventually become an influence of hundreds or more bands that would carry the torch, and build upon what Overcome was responsible for establishing. Named in honor of Bloodlined Calligraphy’s beloved hometown, “Ypsilanti” was the band’s highly anticipated sophomore album released 15 years ago today. The 2006 album blends old school thrash with new school hardcore and was the last album the band released.
