Kyongera Agriculture Project – Fertilizer

Bringing Hope to the Family is in need of fertilizer for their agriculture project in Kyongera. Fertilzer was added when the maize, matooke (banana) and pineapples were planted several months ago, but the soil is in need of a fresh supply of fertilizer. The land is in need of 200 bags of fertilizer. Each bag is $10. This will also include the transport/delivery cost. It is our goal to raise $300 for this need.

Home Again Orphanage – Bathroom/Kitchen Addition

Bringing Hope to the Family desires to add an addition to the upper house of Home Again. The upper house is where all of the babies and toddlers are housed. This addition will include a bathroom and a small kitchen. These rooms will help the house moms better care for the small children. The bathroom will include indoor showers and toilets for the children. Currently the hallway in the upper house is lined with baby potties and is very unsanitary. The younger kids in the house are also scared of going to the outdoor latrines at night. This will allow them to go freely and will hopefully cut down on bed wetting. The kitchen will allow the moms to prepare bottles for babies, as well as drinks and snacks for the toddlers inside as opposed to using the make shift kitchen outside the upper house. This addition will be a great help to Home Again and will greatly increase their level of sanitation and care. An exciting bit of news for this project is that K.T.A. have a donor that is willing to match up to $4000 towards this project!  $13,500 is needed so, in total they are only needing to raise $9500 to complete this project. It is our goal to raise $600 towards this need.

July 2011 – Thank you for helping us raise $250 for Katie’s medical expenses, $190 for blankets, and $300 for Ronald’s cancer treatment !

June 2011 – Thank you for helping us raise $1,175 to treat people suffering from leprosy in Kenya.

May 2011 – Thank you for helping us raise $1,000 for new tires on the Hope Again Medical Center Van!

April 2011 – Thank you for helping us raise $1,200 for the Ceiling Project for Home Again Orphanage.

March 2011 – Mosquito Net Project. Thank you to everyone who helped us raise $1,000 for 100 treated mosquito nets! We reached our goal 1 week faster than we had hoped!!
